Custom Wrapped

All Rally Fighter’s are vinyl wrapped, although it can remain bare. Local Motors has chosen vinyl wrap over paint for four reasons:

  1. Vinyl is lighter weight than paint – it saves 12 pounds on the Rally Fighter
  2. Vinyl application and disposal is less harmful to the environment than paint
  3. Vinyl is less expensive to apply and maintain than paint
  4. Vinyl is incredibly customizable, like paint

Custom Tube Chassis

Local Motors engineers worked with top desert racing engineers to design the tubular steel chassis and space frame. Each chassis is powder coated prior to customer builds. The diameter of the tubular steel is 1.75″ and the tube wall thickness is 0.120″; these meet SCORE desert racing series requirements. Watch the video to learn more.
