The windshield is broken up into sections of electrochromic glass. A camera in the cockpit recognizes the driver's eye position and calculates the spot in the windshield, where (blinding) sun is located from the drivers perspective. This section within the windshield then increases its opacity in order to block the sun to the point where the driver sees clearly.
Furthermore, when driving at night the intelligent windshield could decrease the brightness of other car's headlights.
The same technology could be applied to all the vehicle's windows. So with the push of a button car could turns in to a private "locker room". In case you need to change your outfit (e.g. for a presentation at work)
Also if the green house turned completely opaque, the interior wouldn't heat up as much when parking in the sun.
